Participants of the DYTIATKO Festival win over the sky with kites from a bird’s eye view

Finalists of the XII DYTIATKO International Children’s Media Festival from Kharkiv region took a look around the aviation equipment in the open air of V.S. Hryzodubova Aero Club, as well as had a master class of modeling kites and launched their works under the watchful eye of skilled model airplane engineers.

The guests took a look around the modern planes of small aircrafts at the landing field “Korotych” and during the excursion found out the history of military equipment – war-planes, which at different times were in service with Military Air Force of Kharkiv region.

Serhii Filatov, Head of V.S. Hryzodubova Kharkiv Aero Club, awarded Chuhuiv Studio “ObovsemKa” – winner in nomination of the media festival “Our peaceful sky”, which is patronized by the Aero Club third year in a row.

“Thank you for creativity that unites and motivates. I wish you to have a desire to work on new topics and ideas at all times, which will inspire you and make people around you happy”, Serhii Filatov said and presented TV studio with a laptop and wishes of further creative growth.

Aero Club also presented finalists of “Dytiatko” with an opportunity to fly on a plane An-2. Children from the following media collectives saw Kharkiv region from a bird’s eye view: Studio MOW Production; Children studio “ObovsemKa”; groups “Children Television Т-studio kids” and  “Fundamentals of students’ self-government”; Municipal Enterprise Children and Youth Activity Center No. 6; Children Media School NovaModa Production Center; Children Television Studio “OUR WORLD” (“Nash Svit”); Children Television Studio Television and Radio Broadcasting Company “Sigma” together with Lozova City Council of High School Students  “New wave” (“Nova khvylia”); School of television video (Martova).

In addition, the culmination of the excursion at the landing field “Korotych” for children was a master class on design and launch of kites. Participants were divided into several groups, each of which included experienced airplane designers and model airplane engineers. In particular, Kostiantyn Marakhovskyi, Head of the “Aviation Modeling” group of Izium Center for Children and Youth Creativity, told why the lifting force is formed and how aviation was born from the launch of kites. In practice, the finalists of DYTIATKO Festival made rhombic kites, which the instructors gave recognition for their beauty and strength, and launched them into the sky.
