Buzok Gallery presents an exhibition of works by participants of DYTIATKO.Art

Sergii Chernov, President of DYTIATKO International Children’s Media Festival, Chairman of Kharkiv Regional Council, attended the opening of the exhibition and awarded the winners.

The cultural and contest programme of DYTIATKO International Children’s Media Festival is increasing every year. In 2020, the organizing committee together with Kharkiv Regional Palace of Children and Youth Creativity municipal enterprise, launched DYTIATKO.Art All-Ukrainian Children’s Contest of Graphic Design.

The competition is held in two nominations, namely “Festival poster” and “Festival nomination poster”. There are four age categories in each of the nominations: debut — 4-6 years old; junior age category — 7-9 years old; middle age category — 10-14 years old; the older age category is 15-18 years old. In total, the organizing committee received 24 entries. The youngest participant is 4 years old, the oldest one is 17.

The exhibition of works by the participants of the competition was presented in Kharkiv Information and Exhibition Center “Buzok” on the first day of the media festival. Sergii Chernov, President of DYTIATKO International Children’s Media Festival, Chairman of Kharkiv Regional Council, presented the awards to the winners.

Participants from all over the world have joined the friendly family of DYTIATKO. Every year we grow and try to enrich the festival program with new content, because the world is changing and modern technologies lead to the emergence of new creative approaches. I am convinced that the idea of DYTIATKO.Art is very successful, because this very competition will contribute to the disclosure of talents in a promising area of contemporary art – graphic design, said Sergii Chernov.

The winners of DYTIATKO.Art All-Ukrainian Children’s Contest of Graphic Design were in the following categories:

Festival poster

• Baluta Taisiya, 7 years old, a pupil of Kharkiv Regional Palace of Children and Youth Creativity municipal enterprise of Kharkiv Regional Council;

• Sviridenko Stella, 13 years old, a pupil of Kharkiv Specialized School No. 5 municipal enterprise of Kharkiv Regional Council;

• Dzhanabaieva Myroslava, 11 years old, a pupil of Marhanets Three-Level Secondary School of General Education No. 12 of Marhanets City Council in Dnipropetrovsk region;

• Prokopenko Iryna, 17 years old and Milovantseva Diana, 12 years old, pupils of Kharkiv Regional Palace of Children and Youth Creativity municipal enterprise of Kharkiv Regional Council.

• Riabukhina Iryna, 12 years old, a pupil of the “Debate” circle of Blyzniuky House of Children and Youth Creativity of Blyzniuky District Administration of Kharkiv Region;

• Petielina Tamara, 15 years old, student of Kryvyi Rih Central City Lyceum of Kryvyi Rih City Council of Dnepropetrovsk Region.

As Roman Minin, chairman of the jury of the contest, Ukrainian muralist, graphic artist, author of objects and installations, noted, it is necessary to pay special attention to the development of children’s creativity, creating conditions for this in the unusual circumstances in which mankind finds itself today.

“Time dictates new realities, and the virtual space that we can create to demonstrate the work of our young talents will be a useful platform. The fact that within the framework of the Dytiatko festival the initiative of the graphic design contest was successfully implemented inspires new ideas. I hope that we will soon organize a competition for children’s park sculptures,” noted Roman Minin.
