XII DYTIATKO Int. Children’s Media Festival is going to combine online and offline events

The year 2020 has turned the usual run of things upside down making all people realize such a concept as “social distance” to the full.

Unfortunately, the Coronavirus pandemic also affected plans of the organizing committee of DYTIATKO Festival, though every year the festival tries to open new sides of cultural entertainment and expand knowledge horizons for its participants, guests, friends and admirers.

DYTIATKO team and we have been thinking a lot about an acceptable and safe format for everyone. Finally we have made a tough choice: this autumn we cannot invite finalists and guests to come to Kharkiv in order to share the joy of meeting face to face.

This year the format of XII DYTIATKO International Children’s Media Festival is going to combine online and offline events.

We are going to meet on Zoom platform at the opening of the festival and during the closing ceremony, declaring the winners, at master-classes, meetings and pitching. But screenings of exclusive and original works of our finalists will be for sure! During the festival days, namely September 2-5, all Kharkiv residents will be able to watch traditionally for free truly amazing films in cinemas of our city.

Indeed, this year the media festival will be specific. It encourages us to study new formats of communication, and I believe, this will be one more stage of development of DYTIATKO Media Festival!
